How we keep the 2026 polar operator ranking independent of the companies it covers.

Independence commitment
- No operator listed in our ranking pays for inclusion or for ranking position. See our submit a company page.
- Every operator profile follows the same structure and receives one dofollow link to its official site — no operator receives additional or differently formatted links.
- Ranking order is determined solely by our published methodology, not by editorial preference for any single brand.
- We do not run affiliate booking links or earn commission on any cruise booking made after visiting this site.
Text-length parity
Every operator profile on our main ranking page follows the same word-count band and block structure, regardless of ranking position. The #1-ranked operator does not receive more descriptive text or more prominent formatting than the #10-ranked operator.
Corrections
If a fact on this site is wrong — a ship spec, a membership status, a price range — we correct it as soon as we can verify the update, and we note the revision date on the affected page. Report a suspected error via our contact page; see also our sources & fact-checking policy for how claims are verified before publication.
How reviews are represented
We paraphrase recurring review themes rather than quoting individual reviews verbatim, and we credit the general platform (Google Reviews, TripAdvisor, Cruise Critic) rather than linking to a specific reviewer's profile. We do not fabricate reviews, ratings, or reviewer counts for any operator.
Handling of incidents
Where a safety or reputational incident is material to a reader's decision — such as the 2026 hantavirus outbreak aboard Oceanwide's m/v Hondius — we disclose it directly on the operator's profile, sourced to independent reporting, rather than omitting it or burying it in a footnote.
